The global music phenomenon Fête de la Musique is finally making its debut in Naga City, and it promises to be a grand celebration of local talent, originality, and creativity like no other! Fête de la Musique, also known as Music Day, Make Music Day or World Music Day, is an annual music festival that is normally celebrated on the 21st of June. The festival originated in France in 1982, and is now celebrated in over 700 cities and 120 countries, including the Philippines since 1994.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of Fête de la Musique in the Philippines that is usually highlighted by the stages in Manila. This time around, Naga City is taking this milestone as an opportunity to create its own unique experience— a completely independent yet coordinated Fête de la Musique Naga City 2024!
Spearheaded by Musika Publiko and Rise Above Pilipinas, and in partnership with Eksenaga, Altitude LXXV, and Bora Hut, the Bicol Pop music movement promises to bring the magic of Fête that has hit the Manila airwaves with the likes of Ang Bandang Shirley, Shirebound & Busking, and Lola Amour here in Naga City this 2024 with the city’s own ensemble of artists!
Fête Naga City is a two-day event that aims to shine the spotlight on the creativity and talent of Bicol’s singer-songwriters and music producers.
